The roof of our loft extension, built by HakoBouw, caused problems from the start. HakoBouw wasn't responsive, and we had to seek legal assistance. They did visit, but unfortunately, it turned out the work was shoddy. Ultimately, we had to replace the entire roof at our own expense.

Terrible construction company! Doesn't do anything on time, doesn't check the construction workers' work, and even when problems and errors are reported, nothing is done! The owners have left the company, making it an even bigger mess. Nothing is done with the feedback, and communication is simply terrible! They're never actually on site! We do the contractor's work ourselves... we could have saved ourselves half the house's price by not working with Hakobouw! Very dissatisfied... interns who don't know anything about anything are brought in full-time, and that's all you have to do. I highly do not recommend this company! Everything is rushed at the last minute, or not at all. Construction workers come and go immediately because other work should have been finished, preventing them from doing their own work. Mistake after mistake is made by people you'd expect to know what they're doing. We're not from the construction industry, and we can read the drawings better than most construction workers. Several times, things have to be adjusted due to silly mistakes made by misreading the drawings. When this is reported, we get no response, and after our biweekly call, nothing has been resolved. They take on far too much work, which they can't handle at all, and for which they don't hire any extra people. They're a truly clumsy bunch! Very unprofessional!

Had the extension carried out by Hako Bouw 8 years ago. Despite considerable delays, this went smoothly. But... the installed tilt-and-turn sliding door turned out to function poorly after a few years. Last May, owner Isaac asked how this was possible and whether they could fix something on the sliding doors. He quickly came by, took a look and promised that his partner would get in touch (nice!) Then radio silence. No more responses to my apps. Very rude. I have now had the sliding doors replaced by another company. In the meantime I have a leak in the roof of the extension installed by Hako. Leakage around the skylight they installed. Of course, that is also not the case after 8 years. Of course I contacted Isaac from Hako construction again. Again no response, I don't feel taken seriously at all. I'm still figuring out how to follow up on this.

DO NOT build with Hako Bouw!! If things had gone according to their original plan, we would have been in our house for a year. The reality is: the house is still not finished, we have not yet had the key transfer and we can no longer reach them. An extensive review will follow when we're ever in our house.

Hakobouw provided an extension to our house for us. After a year, a number of problems came to light. We are very disappointed with the way Hakobouw handled this. Ultimately, the problems were only resolved a year and a half later after we filed a formal complaint with Bouwgarant.
