What started as a hopeful collaboration with SelektHuis, unfortunately turned into a disappointing experience. The communication left much to be desired and what was promised to us was not fulfilled. During the design process, several things went wrong, and we had to constantly pay attention and make adjustments ourselves. This gave us the feeling that we were on our own, instead of being professionally guided! Disappointment all the way.

I have no opinion about the quality of construction but I do have an opinion as a neighbor. Communication is poor, after much insistence with the municipal supervisor, some communication has been established. Safety is poor, after insistence, a construction fence was placed, many children who walked across the construction site with open reinforcement steel. No thought was given to a traffic/safety plan, was not a requirement of the municipality. This caused a lot of nuisance from heavy traffic, where our and other neighborhood children walk right next to / past. Every few days we are bothered by the parking behavior, which means we cannot get on or off our driveway. Opting for conventional pile driving in the middle of a residential area, without notice. This caused damage to our home, no problem, we are insured for this... the insurance later indicates that it cannot be proven, so we lie. Despite the building decree, they always start well before 7:00... everyone is awake again... I can go on for a while... we understand that there will always be construction nuisance, but we never expected this. With a little preparation, communication and understanding, a lot could have been prevented. Of course this also costs a little extra time and money. Company may be technically and organizationally quite good but you will get into a fight with the neighbors. Can't wait for it to be over, for everything to be neat again and for us to be able to get to our house without problems or dirty tires/feet.

After gaining inspiration online, I drove to the branch full of anticipation. It turned out that Selecthuis could not make optimal use of the building area and it was said that they could not do anything for us. Very annoying and driven for nothing. This could have been prevented as we had already sent the lot passport. By the way, the 2nd time we go home disappointed. Never again for us. Advice: find another builder. If this is how they treat customers at this stage, let alone when there is an agreement and you are stuck with it.

Since April 2024, I've tried to schedule an on-site appointment three times. Each time, it was canceled last minute, even though I'd taken special leave for it. This has now cost me three days of leave. I expect professionalism and reliability, but Selekthuis is a huge disappointment. Not recommended if you're looking for a well-organized and customer-friendly service.
