Van Kooten Almelo had helped us enormously. We are actually with another installation company, but they left us with a dangerous old boiler, until we developed a leak and they also refused to repair it. When we asked Kooten for help, she solved everything. The boiler was even replaced and everything that was very old was renewed. Thank you from Kooten Almelo. You are really great people!!!!!!

We would like to urgently warn other consumers about Van Kooten's working methods. We recently had a problem with our heating system, which according to the technician was caused by a leaking shower head. The technician installed a new tap and the problem was solved. So far no complaints. It was only upon receipt of the invoice that we discovered to our astonishment that we had been charged €229 for the tap. The exact same tap is available online for €129.95 to €139.95. This means that we paid almost 75% more than the usual price. We should perhaps have inquired beforehand, but we would never have expected such an extreme additional charge from a reputable company such as Van Kooten. Advice to consumers: never have products installed or ordered by Van Kooten without checking the prices in advance. There is a good chance that you will pay an absurdly high additional charge. Naturally, we contacted Van Kooten, firmly convinced that the invoice would be adjusted. Unfortunately, nothing could be further from the truth. The operational director kept insisting on all sorts of remarkable arguments. First, part of the call-out costs and the hours worked by the mechanic were supposedly included in the price of the crane. Totally absurd, since these costs are included separately on the invoice and cannot also be included in the price of a crane. Then came an even stranger story that Van Kooten has no margin on the hours of their employees and can only earn something from a high margin on products. I can hardly imagine that this is the case because of the considerable hourly rate, but it is an additional reason to be very alert when ordering products from/by Van Kooten. We have now obtained legal advice. Consumer law obliges companies to be transparent about costs, especially for significant amounts. Charging a crane for €229, while the market price is €129.95 and this is not agreed with the customer in advance, violates the duty to provide information and can be regarded as misleading. Due to pressure from Van Kooten, we eventually paid the invoice, but we are considering further legal action. These kinds of practices are unacceptable, and we will continue to warn others not to fall into the same trap. Long story short: be warned. At Van Kooten you may be paying far too much. Always check the prices in advance to avoid this.

The saving angels. After a major fiasco from another roofing company, we called Van Kooten for this major problem. Ruud came immediately and immediately called in the roofers. What a lot of work they did, everything that was broken/badly repaired. It took two days to complete and everything was delivered perfectly. All the mess was cleared up. Great. Our advice: if you need roofers, call Van Kooten.

Five years ago I had Van Kooten cover my canopy and I am still very satisfied. It still looks great and has survived all seasons and weather conditions effortlessly and without leaks. Craftsmanship and great service. Definitely recommended!
