Very dissatisfied with handling of leak and service by Keizer At first we thought we were dealing with a top company. In January I reported that my central heating boiler, which is only two years old, was suffering from loss of water pressure. The technician who came by then only carried out regular maintenance. Nothing else was done to the pipes or to track down the cause of the loss of pressure. Even the central heating boiler itself was barely touched – a sticker was put on it and that was it. Two months later I contacted Keizer again to ask if anything was known about the cause of the water loss. This was not the case. I then indicated that my brother-in-law had looked with a thermal camera and had seen that there was probably something wrong under the floor. On Friday 4 April two technicians from Keizer came: one went under the floor, the other stood lookout. After less than five minutes, the technician came up under the floor again and said: “It’s old, but nothing is leaking.” They then looked further and found a rusty pipe under the roof. This was replaced – cost: €400. Problem solved, you would think... Unfortunately. Since April 4, we have had to refill the central heating boiler four times. So we contacted Keizer again. We got someone on the phone who showed no understanding for our situation at all. The lady said that the boiler would then have to be pressurized, but that this would again involve costs. How?! We had already paid €400 for the previous intervention, plus €150 for a service contract. I then asked if it would be okay if an acquaintance of ours would look under the floor again. That was no problem. This acquaintance actually went under the floor properly (not for five minutes) and did find rotten pipes and rusty connectors – very likely the cause of the leak. According to him, this was simply overlooked by Keizer's mechanic. That can happen, we are all human. I then called Keizer and asked if they would be willing to replace the two rusty couplings as a gesture of goodwill. We have already paid more than €500. What do you think? No response for three days. Then I called again myself. Eventually we received an email with "high urgency" (which was longer than this review), stating that they would not do this as a service and that it would simply cost money again - because two mechanics would have to go under the floor again. But this should have been seen the first time! We then spent 30 minutes on the phone with an employee who simply repeated everything and showed no understanding. At no point did they say: "Wow, how good of you to know and how annoying that our mechanics did not see this. We are going to solve it for you so that you can finally get rid of the leak after three years." We are completely done with Keizer. We are new customers and thought we had found a reliable party, with good annual maintenance and service for the next 30 years. Unfortunately, the opposite is true: we are more than €500 lighter and still have to fill the central heating boiler every week.
