Supplier of the worst payment system in the Netherlands: the Marina Payment Card. What a terrible thing that is! That's why I no longer visit marinas that use this system. The reason? There are many: 1. You have to buy the card. 2. Each marina has its own wallet, so if you top up with €20 at one marina and have money left over after your visit, you can't use that money at another marina. 3. A card can only hold a limited number of marinas. Tour boaters therefore have to buy multiple cards. 4. If you want your overpaid money back, it's not always easy. It should be possible at a ticket machine, but sometimes a harbor master is needed, and they're not on duty 24/7. And it could easily have been done differently, which would have made it a usable system. The OV-chipkaart, for example, already has a better system. You can top up with one amount and travel with all the different public transport companies in the Netherlands. If you've made a trip, it's also possible to use other services, such as exiting the parking garage near the station for free. The Marina Payment Card is not user-friendly for skippers, and for marinas/municipalities, it drives away passers-by and therefore tourists. /Addition to Seijsener's answer: Thank you for your reply. It's good manners that you point out that the Marina Payment Card is not the right product for marinas and other marinas and that they should use a different system. It's a shame for the marinas that have already invested in the Marina Payment Card, but that naturally falls under business risk. Will there be any updates on which marinas are switching away from the Marina Payment Card? Then I'll know which marinas are open to visitors again.

Works like a charm but is located on a business plot and often occupied but the business itself. Will be blocked every day from 15:00-16:00 for loading the delivery trucks.
