More than 2 years ago we went to Grando to choose a kitchen. Lisette took her time for us and helped us very well. Arjen then professionally installed the kitchen and was very friendly and helpful. However, a few months later we discovered that a seam in one of the kitchen cabinets was coming loose. We contacted them about this. After consultation with the supplier, we were told that a new kitchen cabinet would be ordered, great! This was on 9-4-2024. At the end of May 2024 we were told that the cabinet had arrived but that the installation would not be possible until after the summer holidays due to the busy period. No problem, we thought. After that it remained very quiet. We then emailed and called Danny, the new manager, several times. What we were told was that he would pass it on to Arjen and that we would hear when it was installed. We waited patiently. In between we checked several times and we were told the same thing each time. Last week we were done with it and went to Grando. Danny knew immediately what it was about and indicated that the cupboard had been with Arjen for a long time. We got angry and indicated that we wanted the door installed this week. Arjen came today. Installing the cupboard door was literally 2 minutes work. And what turned out, Arjen had only received the cupboard from Grando 3 weeks ago and indicated that Danny had said he had "forgotten" us. We have been working on it for a year, have been fobbed off several times and then it turns out that the fault lies with Danny himself. Very scandalous and not at all customer-friendly. That is why we no longer recommend Grando. Previously with the previous manager, certainly, but the current manager does not know what customer-friendliness is. Too bad for such a beautiful business!

After being helped reasonably well with the choices for the renovation of the bathroom, a quote was sent. This was incorrect on a number of points, about which I then sent an email with some questions. There was no response to this in any way, not even after a second email. No communication, so standards of decency were exceeded. As a result, my confidence in this company has disappeared. No Grando Doetinchem for me.

I can imagine that we were a difficult customer for several reasons. Heavily traumatized by the experiences surrounding our new bathroom some time ago (not with Grando of course 😉) and suffering from the condition called 'perfectionism'. You may have heard of this, or that a family member (and therefore also those directly involved) suffers from this. Enough about this, it had to happen eventually, after all, the old kitchen was falling apart, but I still didn't dare to start. Under the guidance (and slight coercion) of my girlfriend, we went in and out of the kitchen shop. We didn't see anything we really liked anywhere, except for a few addresses, but it turned out that our taste was really better than our budget. We finally entered the Grando Doetinchem showroom because of a (pink!) kitchen in their magazine. Unfortunately, this turned out to be no longer available, but we still made an appointment to make a design with Linet. We already had a clear plan of what we wanted, and some nice additions were made here and there. This process went very smoothly and eventually we figured out what it was going to be. Then we had to wait until the factory had our kitchen ready. And in the meantime, we started making all the preparations ourselves for a kitchen space that can last for years to come. The stressful period in which everything comes together from demolishing your kitchen, removing floors, having underfloor heating and new floors made, electrical adjustments, lighting and plasterwork... it takes good planning and hoping that no one cancels, dies or fails flat out, of course. Finally the time had come, the kitchen was delivered! Grando's delivery people delivered everything neatly, and shortly afterwards Willem the kitchen technician arrived on site to make it a beautiful whole. Being the neurotic that I am, I wanted to be home, so as soon as I could leave work I showed up at home to see who this Willem was and whether he knew what he was doing. Well, after a few minutes my blood pressure was back to normal, my heart rate was fine, and my hair got color again. Everything under control. Willem was great, nice to be around and fun to have in the house. I introduced him to my condition once. I politely asked if something that was too crooked in my opinion could still be adjusted. And I'm still surprised that (despite the crooked plastered wall) it now fits so nicely. He was not afraid to take my own planning into account in his planning. I also had to attach some things to/in/through the island because I was simultaneously building a wooden table that would be mounted on it. He placed the pink tiles on the back wall very nicely for us, and he will soon be back to install the last side plinth. That really surprised me, you often hear about incomplete deliveries. Wrong deliveries or damage. So we only had one small piece of skirting board missing. Cheers! We are very satisfied!

Grando Doetinchem helped design and renovate our kitchen two years ago. Because of the good experiences, we also hired them for the bathroom, which was completed this week. When designing, they think along with the customer's needs and come up with great ideas. You never leave with the feeling that they are trying to cheat you out of your pocket, no nasty bargaining tricks - just a decent price for good quality. The team carrying out the renovation is great. Friendly, hard working, transparent and honest. And professionals. Very neat work, and if something is not to your satisfaction they will adjust it without any hassle about additional costs.
