I was directed to this company by my VVE to fix a door in my apartment. They came to inspect the door and ever since they have been impossible to reach. If I call they say they will find out details and call me back, but they never do. If I email or text, same promise. We'll get back to you. They've been gaslighting me for months. Have contacted the VVE and hopefully they will end their contract. Do NOT recommend. For any job. They will waste your time.

If you have a choice, please do not do business with Meulemans. Read the explanation below. Dear people, Please note! If this company carries out maintenance or renovations on behalf of your landlord or homeowners' association, please read the account/advice below in your interest. ALWAYS call your landlord or VVE to ask what exactly the agreement (read work) entails, and what the executor is obliged to do. If you do not want to provide this, ask the landlord or VVE to check the work afterwards. If you do not do this, you give the executor room to abuse your good faith and ignorance. To be on the safe side, take photos before starting work to avoid unnecessary discussion afterwards. After all, your decency and trust are too often seen as an opportunity to "earn" money illegally. My experience is that, apart from this, people treat 'your' home quite disrespectfully, with the exception of a few people who wander through your house with 'street' work shoes and put dirty equipment on your carpet/floor. Naturally, the floors to be walked on should be neatly covered with a floor protector, but here too, extra money and time can be “earned” at the expense of you as a customer. Therefore, before the work takes place, ask your landlord or homeowners' association whether this aspect is included in the agreement or can still be mentioned, so that you can oblige the executor under the agreement to reimburse cleaning costs afterwards. (Inform yourself well and beware of assumptions that you base on assumptions. Never blindly accept what the workers tell you. If your feeling tells you that something is wrong, take the time to find out. Your feeling is more often right than you suspect.)

Meulemans was called in by the VVE due to a persistent leak in the bathroom in the apartment above us. My advice is not to hire Meulemans. Agreements have not been kept, communication is very poor and Meulemans fails several times to detect the leak. The outcome is that we waited a very long time for Meulemans to take action each time, with a disappointing outcome each time. Again, I don't recommend Meulemans. Save yourself the headache and hire a professional who will keep his agreements.
