My experiences about this company: my mother had given two orders. My abbreviated email after receiving their invoice. 1. Install vinyl flooring in the kitchen 2. New net curtains in the living room 1. Laying a vinyl floor in the kitchen It started with this: On June 7, 2022 at 6:00 PM my 71 year old mother received a call with the message that someone would be laying the floor the NEXT morning at 8:00 AM. So in other words; whether my 71-year-old mother will quickly remove the CURRENT vinyl floor that same evening. Not really, so to speak, customer friendly. Ultimately this was successful with the help of a neighbor. The next morning, Graven's employee arrives. Or no, wait, it turns out to be a self-employed ex-construction worker “who also lays floors”. The old vinyl floor was removed by the neighbor, the floor itself had already been leveled two years earlier when the previous floor was laid. There were only a few glue residues left on the floor due to the VERY SHORT preparation time my mother was given. However, the self-employed construction worker does not feel like removing the adhesive residue and apparently decides that leveling needs to be done, even though the original quotation stated that this was not necessary and my mother also indicated this. The neighbor, there he is, will also testify that leveling WAS NOT NECESSARY!! Fortunately, we also have photos of this. But of course it's a piece of cake for a 71-year-old woman, so Mr. Construction Worker will happily level it anyway. Hour-invoice, right? My mother didn't even notice, she can't be in the kitchen for hours, the gentleman lays the vinyl floor and he's gone. The next morning: the floor curls up at the edges and at the threshold. It turns out: Mr. Construction Worker didn't stick anything. The floor is just loose. And so it curls and bulges up. Finally someone came again to paste this at certain points. But lying down doesn't quite work, especially not near the threshold, but so be it. It's ready now. Despite protests, the Graven company still sends us an invoice for the leveling. Oh wait, we get a 15% discount as a special courtesy. Shameless. 2. Net curtains in the living room My mother became a widow last June. One of the first positive things she wanted to pick up again was ordering new lace curtains. Net curtains are something very important to my mother. She was really looking forward to that after a long, unpleasant time. We thought we were in good hands with this company. My mother placed the order without seriously looking at the price. She had something to offer. However, the intention was that my mother gave the ORIGINAL net curtains as an example. "No problem ma'am." We are writing six weeks later. Several calls from my mother's side because proactivity and informing customers about progress is not a priority at Graven. Six weeks without net curtains. For my mother, that is the same as walking around bare-chested for six weeks. But luckily, there is Graven with the new net curtains. Even though they received the ORIGINAL net curtains, it doesn't fit at all. People also notice this themselves. Then wait again and try 2. Once again it doesn't fit. Again: They had the original net curtains IN THEIR OWNED!! But then. The piece-de-resistance, category 'never experienced it before': people casually call my mother and say that they are giving up. They just give up. Sorry customer, just figure it out. Big bye. Interior design company, upholstery company. Just forget the shame after all those tough words in their showroom. What kind of institution is that? Amazing. Downright baffling.
