I've arranged for them to be there Wednesday at 8:30 for the painting work. I'm sitting at the kitchen table with my back to the painters and notice that Sanders has left (on a break?). I decide to do the laundry and the housework while Sanders might return. (I assume I don't have to keep an eye on them, the front door and back hatch are all open.) I discover they've moved their things out of the back, so the back hatch is closed, but I've kept the front door, etc., open just in case, in case they return. The door has blown shut (?). The doorbell rings. I walk to the door and see them walking down my path. (Due to construction noise, there's no point in calling out.) I call immediately to tell them to wait a moment after ringing the bell, as I'm not going to wait in the hall for someone to ring. (We're talking about ringing the doorbell and just walking away... time-wise.) I waited until 11:00 on Thursday and then went to bed because of a bad night and the upcoming night shift. I woke up at 3:00 PM and found a note in the mailbox saying Sanders wanted to come over on Friday at 1:00 PM. I called them because I was supposed to be home at 9:00 AM and needed to sleep until at least 3:00 PM. We agreed that 3:00 PM was too late, so Sanders would come over on Wednesday after my work week (night shifts an hour from my house). I got home today (Friday) at 9:00 AM, showered and ate, and fell asleep after 10:45 AM. At 1:15 PM, Sanders called me out of bed to tell me it was just a short work shift. 😡. Now, after two hours of sleep, I'm lying awake, worried about having to drive myself to work! (Nobody works 9-hour days and has a one-hour commute with only two hours of sleep, so there's a good chance I'll fall asleep on the Hunnebed Highway.) As you can see in my comment, I'm very angry and saddened that Sanders is treating you this way. Great arrangements! It makes absolutely no sense!
