Sadly a no star review is not possible.No question the worst building contractor ever. I hired Rob de Jong in early 2018 to redo my foundation and build a basement space in my house in Amsterdam. Mr. de Jong promised that the job would take 16 weeks and in the end it took more than a year.It is now nearly two years later and we are still suffering from his work and his behavior. Rob de jong works multiple jobs at one time with a total work force of 2 people resulting in his absence from the site for weeks at a time. He lies constantly about when he will be starting the job again. Does not return phone calls. He also does not pay his sub contractors. In our case 4 different companies called me to ask when Mr. De jong was going to pay them. Our basement is currently leaking due to De Jongs terrible work and the company hired to fix it has not been paid and will not return. I have worked in the building trades for 30 years and he never experienced anything so unprofessional and underhanded as Rob deJong. Anyone considering hiring him should run in the other direction as fast as humanly possible.

First class scammer. The work is so bad that you would rather never hire Roberto de Jong. Gentleman drives the most expensive cars so there is certainly money there. If anyone is looking, take a look at Johannes van der Waalsstraat at number 11 or 15 in Amsterdam.

Unfortunately I also have to put a star, otherwise the whole thing won't be posted. I was terribly abused by this man. Lied, cheated. Not paying a supplier. Not keeping an appointment. Don't answer phone calls. When I gave him cash so he could "prepay" for the panels for my extension, he gave me 50 euros back for flowers on the grave of my sister, who had just died, and then disappeared completely from view. I finally got through to him on the phone. Then he came to my kitchen table crying about his tax debts. Then he was gone again, leaving me with the mess. In retrospect, I'm glad he didn't finish the job because he even wanted to cut away buttresses at the back of my building. He pretended to be a carpenter but had no idea what he was doing. Don't do business with him is also my advice.

Good shell cellar box delivered. Construction started in Corona time. I had a lot of time to help out. Another contractor further completed the basement. De Waal Paal did the foundation with screw injection piles. Albeton supplied the cement. Nice process to follow if you like renovating. You can always come and have a look through Rob.
