DRT Floors Review – disappointing aftercare and lack of responsibility Five years ago we had a cast floor installed through DRT Vloeren, including the subfloor with underfloor heating, which they also installed themselves. We deliberately chose one party for the entire process, so that in the event of any problems there would be clarity about who was responsible. Initially we were satisfied: the floor looked sleek and the contact was pleasant. After a year or two, small cracks started to appear, which we did not find strange and could easily accept. But now a large crack has appeared in the living room — so serious that the floor is bulging and the first thing every new visitor asks is what on earth happened. We have approached DRT Vloeren several times about this, but they do not get any further than thinking along from a distance. According to them, the cause cannot be determined without breaking up the floor — something that has major consequences for the entire floor in the living room. Yet they do not take any responsibility for the possible costs that this entails, even though they have installed both the subfloor and the cast floor. What particularly frustrates us is that DRT takes no responsibility for the combination of cast floor and subfloor that they installed themselves. They leave us as customers with uncertainty and seem to prefer to avoid confrontation rather than look for a solution together. That is extra painful because we opted for quality and reliability through their shop-in-shop at CILO. We had hoped for a partner who not only lays beautiful floors, but also responds when things go wrong. Unfortunately, that does not seem to be the case with DRT Vloeren.

Unfortunately, several things went wrong during the implementation, but in the end we collaborated on a suitable solution for a beautiful end result. In addition, we also thought about compensating for the inconvenience through, among other things, a free maintenance package. Correctly. The minor damage caused during sanding was also neatly resolved by professionals we worked with ourselves, by paying them properly for their repair work. All in all, satisfied with the floor and the handling.

Finally the construction of our terraced house in Kijkduin started. We had free rein with the architect in the design of this house. Unlike our previous house, this time we opted for a fairly minimalist design. The starting point was that the house had to radiate atmosphere. After all, it has to remain a bit cozy. We like that as a family. In addition to the kitchen, the floor is also an important part of connecting elements and creating the atmosphere we were looking for. We were inspired by friends who also had a floor poured by DRT. We had Senso and DRT in our sights. Both companies have beautiful showrooms. It gives a good idea of ​​the (diversity) of products they can supply. Price-wise there is no real difference. What made us decide to choose DRT were the following things. An excellent first introduction. We were guided through all the rooms at DRT, designed in a living room setting. You immediately get the right look and feel for the different floor. Naturally, these are the colors that are chosen 80% of the time. We received color advice twice before we finalized our choice. We were well instructed as to what preparatory work our contractor had to perform. The project leader Mr. Jelsma from DRT visited our house in preparation and thought carefully about practical matters such as good drainage in the shower rooms. They delivered the floor with various treatments in about 1.5 weeks. What is very positive is that DRT works with its own professionals. This seems to guarantee quality. Mr Jelsma also delivered the floor to us. We came across a small unevenness on the 190 m2 floor. They repaired this invisibly. The experiences have been very positive. Micro terrazzo is admired by friends.

Very good experience with DRT. Fantastic help in the beautiful showroom in Den Bosch. All floors can be viewed there in a layout with furniture, etc. so you can make a good choice. I opted for micro terrazzo on the ground floor and urban velvet in the wet areas of my home. Prior to the installation, DRT came to inspect and gave clear instructions to the contractor regarding the necessary preparation. This results in flawless execution. Cast floors look fantastic. The micro terrazzo in particular is a real eye-catcher and receives many compliments. Can highly recommend DRT.

We were initially a bit unsure about the flooring options for our (large) garage, given its rather unique location. So, we drove to the head office in Oss. We received excellent advice and were able to ask plenty of questions—it was never too much, and we were quite unsure. We weren't stubborn and didn't settle for cheap—we did get cheaper quotes, but DRT was the most dedicated. This resulted in a beautiful end result that we've been enjoying for a while now. We also recommended DRT to friends, and they asked why we hadn't written a review. To be honest, I'd do one sooner if I had any complaints, so I figured I'd just do it now, since I'm completely satisfied.
