Very bad experience with this company. We would advise everyone not to order your floor from this company/let them lay your floor. Very poor communication, you have to constantly follow up on everything yourself, agreements made are not kept. A starting date for laying was agreed. On the day they were supposed to start, they did not show up. In the end, I took a week off for nothing, they never showed up. There is very little and vague communication, I keep sending a message and calling to get clarity. For example, the time keeps moving (we will come in the morning, oh no, in the afternoon, oh no, in the evening, oh no, it won't work today). First it is communicated that the laying will only take 2 days, eventually this increases and they say 3, 4 and eventually even 5 days. Instead of 2 days, it took 2 weeks. Owner has not got the planning in order and then lies about why agreements are not kept (for example, says that employee is sick. The same employee indicates a few days later that he was not sick, but that the owner has not got his affairs in order and has not planned properly). If it had been indicated that the deadline was not feasible, we could have planned around this and at least not had to waste so many vacation days. Our entire move went wrong because of them and we have had a lot of stress because of this. They also do not calculate neatly in terms of hours, for example indicate that something takes 10 hours while that day 1 person worked a maximum of 2-3 hours. Agreements were made about which side the herringbone floor had to be laid. It is laid completely the wrong way. Fortunately, we found this out ourselves in the short term, so that we could still correct this. If you do not want to age 20 years from stress, do not order your floor here.

Unacceptable result, unprofessional attitude to complaint, failure to comply with the Disputes Committee ruling and therefore in my opinion not worthy of CBW recognition and certainly not recommended. Explanation; Last year we had our floor sanded and oiled by Houten Vloeren Paleis. Unsightly sanding patterns can be seen in many places (photo 1). Second attempt made by the same employee, without good results. Third attempt made by two other employees, with again poor results including color difference (photo 2). Complaint was then filed and Mr. J. Looysen came by and agreed with poor results. Our proposal to settle it was not accepted and she wanted a fourth attempt. Since we no longer had confidence in Houten Vloeren Paleis, we did not do this and because we could not reach an agreement, we submitted it to the Disputes Committee, which declared our complaint well-founded and gave Houten Vloeren Paleis the binding decision to refund our deposit. To date, this has not yet happened, and the deadline set by the Disputes Committee to comply with the ruling has passed by more than two months. Addendum: No response to blackmail attempt by Wooden Floors Palace. We have received a request from the owner of Houten Vloeren Paleis to remove the above message, with the comment that he only then wanted to transfer the amount due. Since this is actually a blackmail attempt because he should have complied with the binding decision of the Disputes Committee for a long time, we did not respond to this. Later, the amount of our down payment was finally transferred in accordance with the ruling, but 3 months (!) after the deadline had passed and 2 years after the dispute arose, and without any form of apology on his part.

I never write a (bad) review, but I do want to warn people about Het Houten Vloeren Paleis. We experienced the cooperation with this company as very bad. Unprofessional attitude of the owner, very poor communication, impossible to reach (neither by phone nor by email), a sloppy parquet installer who does not treat the house properly, not to mention the quality of the floor (oak Hungarian point) that started to come up in several places after a few weeks. We even had to call in Stichting Uitgesproken Zaak, because we could not get in touch with them. They eventually had to repair the floor and they kept that agreement. We are satisfied with the parquet installer who did the repair. Despite that, we have a lot of headaches and stress because of this company. A tip for future customers: spend a little more money on a floor from another, good, professional company, instead of at Het Houten Vloeren Paleis. Because I can confirm: cheap is expensive, especially with such a vulnerable and expensive product as a wooden floor.

But then it went quiet after several attempts from our side and the insurance company, we decided in consultation with the insurance company To hire someone else.

WARNING. After the Houten Vloerenpaleis installed a floor for us, we unfortunately experienced a leak in the underfloor heating. Part of the floor had to be removed again. Het Houten Vloerenpaleis made a quotation, which included 8 hours for the removal of approximately 2 m2 of flooring. Because we found this to be a lot of hours and therefore expensive, we contacted them. It was verbally agreed that if less time was needed, this would be settled. After the floor was removed (2 people spent 40 minutes doing this), we still received a bill for 8 hours. After much contact, the position remained that the 8 hours had to be paid. We ultimately paid for 3 hours of our own accord. However, the Wooden Floor Palace did not want to install the floor again after the underfloor heating had been repaired before the 8 hours had been paid in full. We were regularly told 'that it was just an insurance matter'. However, we do not want to allow ourselves to be abused for insurance fraud. To make a long story short, we eventually turned to the Housing Disputes Committee, which made a ruling in our favor. The Wooden Floor Palace had to repair the floor, pay a fine and reimburse our costs. Despite the fact that the Housing Disputes Committee contacted Het Houten Vloerenpaleis several times, the Houten Vloerenpaleis did not respond; During the procedure, the Houten Vloerenpaleis hardly responded to the Housing Disputes Committee. Ultimately, the Housing Disputes Committee called in the trade association, which had the floor made under warranty and covered all costs. The insurance company has been informed, has inspected all documents and will pay extra attention to damages involving the Wooden Flooring Company. This whole thing took almost 2 years; During that period we were left with a hole in our floor. So you have been warned if you are going to do business with the Wooden Flooring Company. Addition in response to the owner's response: Don't let yourself be fooled. The above says enough. The conviction by the Housing Disputes Committee is not without reason. They did not comply with the ruling (talking about "doing business honestly and transparently"), ultimately we had to repair our floor via the Guarantee Fund.
