Kreunen Bouw Lochem extensively renovated our house at the beginning of this year. The results are impressive. The construction time was slightly shorter than anticipated, without compromising the quality. Of course, there were some minor issues during the project, but they were all addressed and resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. We continue to receive compliments from family, friends, and passersby about the final result. If we renovate again, we will definitely ask Kreunen to do it for us. Great job, Kreunen!

Very bad experience. We had our house renovated and expanded by groaning. This had to be done according to specifications and conditions. They did not adhere to them. Double glazing but not the ++ quality. PIR insulation panels instead of the specified Rhinoxx panels. Joints with tiles in different colours. Often not finished at all along the edges. Cracks in plasterwork along transitions with different materials where joints were neatly requested and not applied. Leakage in bathroom where no edge band was applied. And they also did not know what Vecht format was. We were given a brick for assessment. In terms of size it was a Vecht format. But a Waal format of the same colour was used. Very special. The estimate was based on the materials from the specifications and in practice much cheaper materials were used that led to cracking, condensation and other inconveniences. We did not receive a response to complaints. Many of the problems have now been solved by another contractor. Fortunately, but it does cost you a lot of money.

For the driver, a very good place, you will have to tinker a little with unloading, since there is little space in their parking lot. They unload on both sides, the staff is very nice, they treated me to coffee, there is a toilet. Unloading is carried out in the neighboring building under #14. They allowed me to stand in the parking lot until the next task.

In summary: terribly poor communication, 6 week planning turned into 5 months, agreements were structurally not kept. As a private individual, it is better to find another contractor for a renovation. We hired Kreunen for an extension of 24m2 to a 100+ year old house (45,000 euros was the price for the bare extension). Major contractor in the region, you would expect them to pull this off and deliver it with two fingers up their nose. The start was on time, but a 6-week planning extended to 5+ months and it is STILL not finished. The demolition caused damage to the neighbors, which has not yet been repaired after 5 months. The outside wall was removed with only a plastic foil in the living room outside; It took 4 weeks before a roof was put on again, while we literally sat in the cold in the living room with a baby. The on-site contractor was very neat and did a good job, it was also clear what to expect. After the shell was in place, coordination went to their office. Since then, communication has been atrocious; we have to do everything ourselves, promises are not kept, unknown subcontractors show up unannounced. So the communication is, in one word, terrible. You can seriously expect more from a construction company like this.

The entire roof (construction, roof panels, carpentry and roof tiles) of our farmhouse was installed by Kreunen Bouw Zutphen. Our experiences with Kreunen Bouw are particularly bad. - Kreunen managed to saw 4 of the 8 Velux skylights! This was eventually repaired, but it is messy. - The seams between the roof panels are not taped as they should be. that blowing snow causes leaks at the seams. - Roof tiles are not anchored as they should be in accordance with the building code. During a south-westerly storm, the roof tiles fly around your ears. When I emailed Kreunen Bouw Lochem with these complaints, they did not respond. They felt that it was not their responsibility, because the roof was constructed by Kreunen Bouw Zutphen, which no longer exists. The Kreunen Lochem website actually states that Kreunen Bouw Zutphen was taken over by Kreunen Bouw Lochem in 2008! In the end I solved the problems myself. I would strongly advise against Groan Construction, not a professional and service-oriented company.
