Experience with Veldhuizen Gevelrenovatie – disappointing service and warranty not honored In the late summer of 2022, we engaged Veldhuizen Gevelrenovatie to repoint our home in Utrecht. The work initially seemed to be well done, but less than three years later, the pointing is already coming loose in several places. This is work that should normally last for decades. The original invoice clearly states that a 10-year warranty is given on brickwork and pointing. When I approached the company about this, my first email was completely ignored. Only after insisting did I finally receive a response, stating that the problem was due to subsidence of the home and would therefore be outside the warranty. This explanation is questionable on several points: The loose pointing is not near a window or doorway, but higher up in the facade - far from places where subsidence would have an effect. We have photos of before and after the work, which do not show any changes or subsidence in the brickwork. Three independent specialists have assessed the situation and have concluded that there is no subsidence, but that it is probably due to insufficient adhesion of the cement or sloppy processing. Despite the clear warranty conditions, the company has not taken any responsibility to date, and a proposed appointment on site was never followed up. In short, Veldhuizen Gevelrenovatie does not honour the warranty, responds slowly or not at all, and shifts the cause of the damage without substantiation. Based on our experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend this company. If something goes wrong, you cannot count on service or a solution-oriented approach.

Very bad company. At first everything seemed to go smoothly and smoothly. Quotation for chimney renovation was excellent, as was the preliminary work. After the renovation we had a major leak at the first rain shower! Never had a leak before! Water ran down the wall, the boiler turned off due to a short circuit and the plasterboard from the ceiling came down due to the amount of water. It's been a lot of misery since then. Company is difficult to reach and communication is downright poor or non-existent. During the first year they went to see what the problem was several times, but they couldn't do anything for us! They have now returned the order (in black and white) and we would get the payment back so that we can resolve the matter with another company. However, still no money received after almost 2 months! Now a lawyer is going after it. If this is not resolved quickly, we will file for bankruptcy... After this review and from my neighbor, a refund was suddenly made. Thank you for that! We are absolutely not satisfied with the way we acted. You have now dealt with it quickly. If you have read carefully above, I am not saying that we have filed for bankruptcy, but would file for bankruptcy if this continued. It's nice that we are now free of each other. That's why I'm giving it 2 stars. Good luck and I hope this is a learning experience for your company.

Unfortunately some damage occurred during work, can of course happen. Marco has neatly solved this.

Without too much content: work such as jointing and renovation has basically been carried out well. Our leak continued after several attempts. We have agreed that we will continue with another party - Marco has promptly refunded the full amount. I give 3 stars because I believe that a company's communication should be done well - that was really not the case with us. Had to sit on top of it for weeks. Hopefully that will be better in the future. I have no doubt that this company can deliver great results.

Top company with professionals and they are also fun. My house and that of my neighbors are like new again. Everything has been neatly tidied up and cleaned, including the neighbors. Communication was a bit difficult at times, but they did a great job!
