Outrageous service! We have had problems twice within 2 years with our €12,000 Alpha Innotec heat pump. You would expect a decent product and decent aftercare at such a price, but nothing could be further from the truth. The company hides behind the 2-year warranty and takes no responsibility in any way. No help or compensation whatsoever, even though it was clearly a production error. You don't expect this from a premium product. A real shame! Response to response from Nijhof. This is what I received via Dura Vermeer; Dear Bouwe Metz, In response to the following, I inform you that we have received feedback from Nijhof B.V. have received. The home falls outside the 2-year warranty period. It is advisable that you engage a maintenance party yourself, as they can no longer do anything about this. The SWK warranty periods are attached. We trust that we have informed you properly and consider this notification to be completed for us.

Nijhof leaves you out in the cold. The technology in our new-build home (completed 3.5 years ago) was provided by Nijhof. When we got home last night, it turned out that a power group had failed and the cause turned out to be a short circuit in the underfloor heating unit installed by Nijhoff. If we now plug the underfloor heating unit into the socket, the power group switches off. So we have no heating (November 11). Nijhof response: unfortunately, but we cannot help you because the warranty has expired and you live outside our service area. (Apeldoorn). Just find an installer in your area who is willing to correct the error. Response to Nijhof's response: Dear Nijhof, The system you installed breaks down after 3.5 years and that is not normal. Although the warranty period has expired, you can reasonably expect an underfloor heating system not to break down after 3.5 years. If that does happen, repairs do not have to be free of course, but you completely shift responsibility through the expired warranty period and do not make any effort. A company like yours should make some effort when a family is left out in the cold due to the failure of a system you supply. I find the distance argument (36 minutes, 41.8 km) very weak. The house is still in the same place as when you installed the installation. Apparently the distance was not a problem at the time when a large project of 52 homes was taken on, but now that a shortage has come to light after 3.5 years, another party will have to solve it. I fully understand the fact that you did not immediately have a technician available, but you kept all doors closed to find a solution. Your first point in your response was not discussed by telephone, but I think it is a classic pillar-to-wall case. You know very well that we cannot solve this through the contractor. Finally, I would like to mention that the documentation written by Nijhof about the technical installation supplied upon delivery states several times that you should contact Nijhof in the event of problems. Stickers have also been placed in the meter cupboard with Nijhof's telephone number. Nowhere does it state that we have to look for another installer after the warranty period. One more positive point: the breakdown engineer who spoke to me on Sunday evening did so very politely and friendly. After that conversation I had the impression that the problem was being taken seriously.

What a bunch of twerps at Nijhof. They installed a heat pump installation in our new-build house on behalf of Dura Vermeer. An iron coupling was installed which is now rusting. This is the result of condensation that forms on the insulated installation (our installation can also cool). Because it is not yet leaking, Nijhof refuses to replace the wrong materials.
